Wishing You "A Simple Christmas"
As we come to the close of 2013 it is time to finish preparations for that most wondrous time of the year. There are still presents to be bought and wrapped, cookies and cakes to be baked, decorating that still needs to be done and a host of other things to be finished to prepare for that special day or days when families come together to celebrate the Christmas season.
Christmas is a special time of the year for most of us because it means we get to spend time with family and friends and celebrate the season with the exchanging of gifts while not forgetting those that aren't able to be with us because they are serving our country in a foreign land or for other reasons.
So many times we tend to let the commercial aspect and the hustle and bustle of the season get in the way of what the season is all about. As a result, I thought it appropriate this year to reflect my thoughts about the season on the special signed and numbered limited edition Christmas card I sent to 75 of my closest friends and clients using a simple setting without all of the glitz and glamour of the season. Below is the front of the card as well as the inside quote.
"A Simple Christmas"
Christmas is the time to share Love and Joy.
A time to recollect beautiful memories.
It is a time to sit back and relax.
Enjoy "A Simple Christmas" season.

You know I'd want a copy of anything you send out. I was thinking about the Christmas with Santa or whatever cards you sent out that frantic time. I'm glad there was no radar in use between Newton and Lawrence!
Several of your beautiful photographs stay in my mind's eye to be recalled at times when I need something bright in my life. The one of the cemetery at Newton is one that is very special. This one is certainly a treasure. I love your images of the delta as you travel the back roads. I hope you and your have a Merry Christmas and I feel blessed to be one of the 75!
Very Nice work here, Lowry. As I also say, "Very tastefully done".
