Church from "The Help"

In the middle of a cotton field in the Mississippi Delta sits the landmark Brooklyn Chapel church. This church was made famous when it was used as a setting in the movie, The Help, which was filmed in the area around Greenwood, Mississippi.

This beautiful white siding church with its stained glass windows sits a few hundred yards south of the Yalobusha River on a dirt road that roughly follows the lay of the land along the river. The blue Delta sky can be seen peaking through the clouds.

The twin spires of the church nestled in a grove of trees can be seen as you round the curve on River Road in Leflore County.
